The 2023 Washington Small Fruit Conference and Lynden Ag Show is less than a month away on Wednesday, November 29th, and Thursday, November 30th. We will continue to showcase the latest in berry research with experts from across the Pacific Northwest. This year we will be adding a 1/2 day of education geared towards seed potato production on Wednesday afternoon (just prior to the social hour). Because of the popularity last year, WSDA will be offering the pesticide handlers training in Spanish on Wednesday and Thursday. For more details on the event see below.

WSDA Spanish-only WPS Handlers Training
Description: This training program is intended to train pesticide handlers going above and beyond the Worker Protection Standard (WPS) training requirements for pesticide handlers in agricultural establishments. The training curriculum is approved by EPA. This training is meant for pesticide handlers so that they learn how to use pesticides in a safe, effective, and legal manner and is intended to reduce pesticide exposure incidents among farmworkers and their family members.
Targeted Audience: Workers who handler and/or apply pesticides that speak Spanish. This training is not offered in English.
Pesticide Credits: 6 WA pesticide credits (NOTE: We are offering two sessions, one each day)
