Maravell Gonsioroski Scholarship
This scholarship is offered by the board members of the Washington State Junior Horse Show in recognition of the dedication Maravell Gonsioroski had for 4-H and for the many long hours she spent running the Washington State Junior Horse Show alongside Inez Walter. Maravell took over the show when Inez was reaching her elder years. Maravell later handed over the show to a committee, but was still active in assisting with the show board. The show has continued since 1936 and is an official Washington State Fair, funded by the Washington State Fairs Association.
Application Deadline: June 1, 2026
Amount of Scholarship: $1,000 (may be split between two applicants)
Scholarship Criteria:
- Must be an active member of 4-H in Washington State
- Must have been a participant at the Washington State Junior Horse Show
- Must have completed and submitted a 4-H Record Book for Judging
- Must have a High School/College GPA of 2.0 or higher
- Intend to pursue post-secondary education through trades school, two-year college, or four-year college
- Completely fill out the application form and upload all necessary attachments
Scholarship applications will be reviewed by the family of Maravell Gonsioroski
Scholarship funds will be forwarded to the recipient’s school of choice upon proof of enrollment
4-H members may apply multiple years, but may only be awarded the scholarship once
