Soroptimist International of Sequim, chartered in 1947, continues to expand their outreach programs and offerings to the community with funds raised at the Annual Gala Garden Show.
The 2025 show will be held:
March 15th from 9 am to 4 pm
March 16th from 10 am to 3 pm
It will mark the 26th year of hosting quality garden-related vendors, educational speakers, raffle items and an annual featured artist.
It is the largest garden show on the Olympic Peninsula.
In addition to diverse vendors, Soroptimist International of Sequim has partnered with the Clallam County Master Gardeners to bring you a speaker’s series which provides education and inspiration for gardeners of all levels. Local Master Gardeners cover subjects like growing berries, veggies, tomatoes, pruning fruit trees, what are the local micro climates and vertical gardening.
“Growing Tomatoes” with Jeanette Stehr-Green and Judy English – March 15th from 10 am to 11 am
“Gardening for Newcomers” with Margery Whites – March 15th from 11 am to 12 pm
“Pruning Trees and Landscape Shrubs” with Keith Dekker – March 16th from 10 am to 11 am
Master Gardeners will also be taking questions at a booth inside the show, so come to the event with any plant problems or concerns.
Admission is $5 per day – Children under 12 are free.
Along with the Master Gardener Series, there is the Featured Speaker. These experts over the years have covered topics on: Rain Gardens, The Basics of Container Gardening, All About Orchids, Heirloom Vegetables and Saving Seeds, Symphony in Bloom: How to Orchestrate Year Long Bloom, Marking Your Garden Calendar, Backyard Greenhouse, Knowing Good Bugs From Bad Bugs, Deer Resistant Gardening and more.
The Featured Speaker of 2025 is Sue Goetz.
