July 12, 2025

Audreen Williams, Laurie Force, Jan Bartron, Kendra Waggoner, and Laurel Moulton plan to escort you through the Fifth Street Community Garden July 12
Clallam County Master Gardeners, from left, Audreen Williams, Laurie Force, Jan Bartron, Kendra Waggoner, and Laurel Moulton plan to escort you through the Fifth Street Community Garden July 12th from 10 to 11:30 a.m. This month’s focus will minimally include various ways to protect your ripening fruit and vegetables, planning for fall and winter, and encouraging pollinators.

Here one day and gone the next? Ripening and almost pickable? Are your small berry fruits (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, etc.) disappearing before you have time to gather the fruits of your labor? Come hear how best to protect your precious harvests at the next Second Saturday Garden Walk on July 12. Other July topics minimally will include planning for fall and winter gardening and encouraging pollinators.

Join Master Gardeners in the garden 10-11:30 on July 12 at Fifth Street Community Garden located at 328 East Fifth Street in Port Angeles. The garden is just off Peabody across from City Hall where there is ample parking for the Saturday events.

The monthly walks are free and open to the public and occur rain or shine. They continue through September 13.
