Composting Workshop

August 11, 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Composting your kitchen scraps and yard trimmings is an easy, low maintenance way to reduce household waste and produce a useful soil product. These workshops will cover the basics of composting and demonstrate multiple strategies to turn your veggie scraps, fruit peals, coffee grounds, eggshells, fallen leaves and yard trimmings into free, nutrient rich compost for your garden and house plants!

A variety of compost systems are on display at the 5th Street Community Garden in Port Angeles as well as the Woodcock Demonstration Garden in Sequim to be viewed at any time.  Brochures on composting and links to WSU soils, mulches and composting publications can be found on our website.
