Join WSU Clallam County Master Gardener Jeanette Stehr-Green for the Digging Deeper Saturdays presentation

“All About Raspberries”

Saturday, July 19th, 2025 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

at the Woodcock Demonstration Garden.

2711 Woodcock Road, Sequim, WA 98382

Digging Deeper Presentations cover basic gardening topics relevant to many home gardeners. Presentations are free and open to the public and are scheduled for 90 minutes to allow for demonstrations and questions from viewers.

During the talk, Jeanette will focus on red raspberries, the most common type of raspberry in home gardens. She will cover the planting, fertilizing, pruning, and trellising of these varieties. She also will describe the more unusual types of raspberries (i.e., yellow, black, and purple), contrasting them (and their care) with the more commonly grown red raspberry.

Jeanette Stehr-Green has been a Clallam County Master Gardener since 2003. Jeanette writes gardening articles for our local newspapers and is a frequent speaker at Master Gardener and other educational events. Jeanette was the 2012 Clallam County Master Gardener of the Year. She has attained the Lifetime Achievement status with Clallam County Master Gardeners and received the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award.

“All About Raspberries” will occur rain or shine and will include a tour of the Master Gardener raspberry patch and a pruning demonstration. Please wear comfortable footwear and dress appropriately.
