Snohomish County Extension – Spring Vineyard Management

Topics covered include the basics of dormant season vineyard care, pruning, training, estimating bud numbers needed for a balanced vine, nutrient management, setting up an irrigation system, the when and how to of good pest management, and weed control. Bring hand pruners, gloves, and a brown bag lunch. Dress for the weather.Workshop starts at 10:00am at the Allen Fire Station, 9061 Avon Allen Rd, Bow, WA with a lecture and discussion. We’ll then drive to a nearby vineyard for practice and hands-on work guided by expert viticulturist Gary Moulton. Bring pruners, gloves, and a brown bag lunch. Drinks provided.
