Season Extension in Specialty Crops Farm Walk

Tilth Alliance Farm Walk Series includes a visit to Growing Washington in Everson, WA and focuses on Season Extension techniques.

Growing Washington is a 100 acre diversified, certified organic farm spread across ten sites in Everson. The farm grows over 100 varieties of fruits and vegetables each year that it sells through its CSA program and at fifteen farmers markets in Whatcom and King counties. The farm has six greenhouses and over 30 high tunnels to help extend the growing season on high-value crops including raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries. WSU specialists will be on hand to provide additional information about season extension and berry crops.
