Nick Guilford has been producing organic transplants for home gardens and his own farm for twenty years.  Located in the South Fork Valley, Sunseed Farms is the home of “The Art of the Start”.  Cloud Mountain’s Production Manager, Matthew McDermott, has produced organic transplants in such diverse places as the California coast, Northwestern Michigan, and more recently for Seattle Tilth Farm Works before joining us last year.  Both will be present to share their experiences and lessons.  The workshop will…

Plant Pathogen Types and Identification

Cloud Mountain Farm Center, a local non-profit agricultural education center, will host local farmers interested in learning how to identify bacterial, fungal, and viral pathogens, and pathogenic nematode damage in crops. This session on Wednesday, June 7th, from 8:30 am to 10:30 am is part of the Center’s 2017 Farmer Roundtable Series, and is intended to spark conversation between researchers and local farmers.

Small Farm Cultivation Roundtable Workshop

Cloud Mountain Farm Center, a local non-profit agricultural education center, will host local farmers at Joe’s Gardens on June 21 from 3 to 5 pm at 3100 Taylor Avenue in Bellingham to share experiences and challenges regarding weed management and cultivation featuring Jason Weston and his Planet Junior Revival. This session from 3pm to 5pm is part of the Center’s 2017 Farmer Speaker Series, and is intended to spark conversation between local farmers.
