Description

Short on time or supplies? This simple question and answer game can be a great way to get kids talking about themselves and is a great window into how they think!

Procedure

  1. Gather a list of “Would You Rather…?” questions for the youth. You can either use a pre-generated list, such as the one on this page, or you can ask youth to write their own on slips of paper, sticky notes, or on a large list, depending on how much of a surprise you want each question to be.
  2. Choose a question from the list and ask the youth what they would rather do, then ask them why! Half the fun is getting to know why youth choose one or the other option.
  3. This game can also have a movement component if youth have to go to one part of the room or space for each answer.

Would You Rather…? Starter Prompts

  • Would you rather have wings so you could fly or gills so you could breathe underwater?
  • Would you rather stand in a rain of marshmallows or stand in a rain of jelly beans?
  • Would you rather have tiger stripes or porcupine quills?
  • Would you rather give up pizza forever or never eat fries again?
  • Would you rather be a wizard or a superhero?
