Adult Mental Health First Aid consists of 2-hours of self-paced content followed by 5.5 hours of instructor-led training (additional time added for lunch and breaks). Mental Health First Aid for Adults teaches people how to recognize signs of mental health or substance use challenges in adults ages 18 and older, how to offer and provide initial help, and how to guide a person toward appropriate care if necessary. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, psychosis, and addictions.
This valuable course is offered free to adults in our community by Washington State University Extension in conjunction with Schools Out Washington. Funding is provided by Washington State Health Care Authority. Pre-registration is required at the link listed below.
