Green Thumb Lecture: Food Gardens in Uncertain Times

February 25, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Free

Current uncertain times, and the ever present threat of natural disaster in the Pacific Northwest, has heightened interest in growing food at home. Self sufficiency is becoming more main stream as gardeners hope to create gardens that can provide fresh healthy food for their family year round.

Expert vegetable gardener and Master Gardener, Bob Cain, will share what he has learned while producing an abundant vegetable garden at home in Scotland, Ireland, Colorado and in Sequim. Cain will share how to plan for year round eating, and share resources and tips that will help local gardeners find success and abundance in their gardens. Find a direct link to the Zoom presentation here.

Green Thumb Education Series Presentations are held from 12 to 1 pm on the second and fourth Thursdays of most months. Talks are currently only being offered by online streaming, due to current social distancing concerns with COVID-19. Please see instructions for accessing the live stream. Presentations and associated printed materials will be archived on the local articles and archived presentations portion of our website. These events are free, but donations to help support the WSU Clallam County Extension Master Gardener program are appreciated.
