Welcome to 4-H Super Saturday!
Get ready for a day of hands-on learning, fun, and community! We have an exciting lineup of workshops for all ages, from gardening and crafts to leadership and 4-H basics. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills, meet friends from across the county, and see all that 4-H has to offer.
Event Highlights: New & Special Features

WSU WeCare Safe Storage Giveaway
Thanks to a grant, we have gun safes and cable locks available. Complete a short safety training at the event to receive one safety item per family. Must be 18+ to participate.

Volunteer & Parent Networking Lounge
A dedicated quiet space for adults to connect, share ideas, and relax with coffee.

Creation & Calm Corner
A peaceful, low-stimulus room with calming activities for anyone who needs a sensory break. Parent supervision required.

4-H FreeCycle & Supply Swap
Bring gently used 4-H supplies, curriculum, or kids’ clothes/shoes to donate and take what you need—for free! Important: Any items left at the end of the event must be picked up by the donating family.

Teen Bake Sale
Treat yourself throughout the day! Located in the main cafeteria.
Registration & Payment
Fees for Super Saturday are:
- 4-H Youth: $15
- 4-H Family: $30
- Non-4-H Participant: $20
How to Register:
- Review the workshop list below.
- Complete the 4-H online registration by November 9th: https://KCSuperSat2025.4honline.com
- Submit payment securely via KC 4-H Square website. Add the registrations and lunch orders to your cart by selecting “Attend”.
Lunch Ordering
A delicious, affordable lunch is available for pre-order!
- Cost: $5 per lunch (Pre-order only)
- On-site Price: $7 (Extremely limited quantity)
- Provided by: Our own Family Living program
- Includes: Your choice of sandwich (Ham & Cheddar, Turkey & Swiss, or Cheddar & Swiss), an apple or orange, a bag of chips, and a bottle of water.
Pre-order your lunch by November 9th with your registration!

2025 Workshop Sessions
Session 1 (9:40 AM – 10:40 AM)
- Pollinator Bee Houses (Ages 8-Adult, Fun with 4-H)
Come learn about the hardworking mason bees and make a pollinator bee house to take home! All supplies provided.
Note: Class limited to 15. - Fabric Facts (Ages 8-18, Fun with 4-H)
Discover the secrets of fabric! Learn about the qualities of different types of fabrics and what projects they’re best for through hands-on testing. - Photography (Ages 8-18, Fun with 4-H)
Learn the basics of composition and lighting to take great photos with any camera or phone! Also learn how to get your photo ready for the fair. - Needle Felted Pumpkin (Ages 11-18, Fun with 4-H)
Get hooked on needle felting! Create your own adorable 3D pumpkin or a flat design using wool and special needles.
Note: Cloverbuds (5-7) may attend but must be accompanied by a parent or high-school-aged sibling to assist. - Tiny Dinosaurs (Ages 5-10, Cloverbud: Fun with 4-H)
A fun, hands-on class for our youngest members to create and learn about our tiny dinosaurs (chickens).
Note: Parent/guardian must stay with Cloverbud participants. - Succulent Centerpiece (Ages 11-Adult, Fun with 4-H)
Create a beautiful, living centerpiece to take home! Learn the basics of succulent care while designing your own miniature garden.
Session 2 (10:50 AM – 11:50 AM)
- Attracting Birds to Your Garden (Ages 8-Adult, In the Garden)
Transform your garden into a bird paradise! Learn about local birds, what they eat, and which native plants and trees best attract them. - SPARK Academy: Positive Relationships (Volunteers/Adults, Volunteer Track)
Training on the importance of relationships and positive adult mentorship in 4-H. Includes practical tips for your club. Counts toward required volunteer training. - Posters (Ages 5-18, 4-H Basics)
Learn how to create an award-winning 4-H poster! This session covers design, content, and presentation tips. - Hand Sewing Basics: Tic Tac Toe (Ages 5-10, Cloverbud: Fun with 4-H)
Learn the useful running stitch by creating a fun, felt Tic-Tac-Toe board! A perfect first sewing project.
Note: Cloverbuds must be accompanied by a parent or high-school-aged sibling to assist. Class limited to 10. - Outsmarting the Grocery Store (Adult) (Volunteers/Adults, Volunteer Track)
Master your grocery budget! Learn how to meal plan, read labels, and make the most of your trip. Includes a curriculum preview and a light snack tasting.
Session 3 (12:50 PM – 1:50 PM)
- What Bird Feeder is Best? (Ages 8-Adult, In the Garden)
A deep dive into bird feeders! We’ll discuss the different types and the “5 W’s”: Who uses them, What food to use, When birds need it, Where to place them, and Why. - Judging and Project Books (Adults/Volunteers, Volunteer Track)
Learn how to effectively use Judging and Project Books as educational tools within your 4-H club. - 4-H Beyond Your Club (Adults/Volunteers, Volunteer Track)
Discover how to create powerful Youth-Adult Partnerships through fundraising and service learning. - Record Books (Ages 5-18, 4-H Basics)
Unlock the power of Record Books! Learn how to set a goal, track your progress, and document your achievements. - Outsmarting the Grocery Store (Youth) (Ages 5-18, Fun with 4-H)
Youth, learn to be grocery store pros! This class covers budgeting, meal planning, basic nutrition, and includes a fun tasting session.
Session 4 (2:00 PM – 3:00 PM)
- Gardening (All Ages, In the Garden)
Get your hands dirty! Learn the basics of planting and caring for a garden. Perfect for beginners! - Judging 101 (Ages 8-18, 4-H Basics)
Decisions are a part of life! Learn the tools to succeed in 4-H judging activities. Come ready to practice judging sample classes. - Felt Applique (Ages 11-18, Fun with 4-H)
Master the beautiful blanket stitch and overhand stitch! Use these skills to appliqué a choice of felt farm animals onto a wool felt background.
Note: Class limited to 10. - Mental Health 101 (Ages 11-Adult, 4-H Basics/Volunteer)
Learn how to recognize signs of mental health challenges, know when to get help, and develop skills to improve your own mental wellness.
Note: Parents are encouraged to attend with their youth. - Cloverbud Make and Take (Ages 5-10, Cloverbud: Fun with 4-H)
A fun, hands-on craft project designed just for our youngest members! Come create something special to take home.
Note: Parent/guardian must stay with Cloverbud participants. - Rockets to the Rescue (Ages 5-Adult, Fun with 4-H)
Blast off into learning! Discover the basics of rocketry and build your very own stomp rocket to launch. Adults can learn about curriculum kits available at the office.
