November Minutes

Nov 6, 2025 

 7:06 meeting started, Sue called meeting to order. 

Members Present: Sue Adams, Nancy Baskett, Floy Ziegler, Alyssa Bowers, Deb Chickadel, Jim Olsen, Caroline Vandio, Paige Andersen.  

Meeting Minutes: 

Floy presented corrections to the minutes; added members and added the awards presented.  

A motion was made by Floy to approve these corrected meeting minutes. Seconded by Jim, runs unopposed.  

Financial report:

Floy presented the financial report. Under budget for expenses, over budget for revenue. $18,792.40 in available funds for the association in addition to the remaining budgeted yearly $14,408.   

It was elected not to motion for the approval of the financial report or budget.  

Staff reports:

Nancy Baskett presented the staff reports. Virtual new leaders training is 2 nights in December 2025. KYG is being run by Sue Adams; it has been moved to the Evergreen State College Campus; the event is capped at 80 people.  

New State 4-H Direction: Presented by Alyssa. The new Director is Kayla Wells-Yokium  

New WSU president, survey to be filled out by the stakeholders.  

New Business:  

Tractor supply is starting paper clovers from November 28th to December 14th.  

Floy presented her sewing 4-H club idea and outcome; they will be meeting next December 6th.  

Nancy mentioned the National Livestock judging event; we are reaching out to the youth (Loreli) to fill out a grant application. 

Youth is invited to a national shooting sports event; they will be filling out a grant application.  

Old Business: 

Super Saturday: 

80-90 students enrolled, and the building has been touring. Snacks for the volunteers like cheese sticks, coffee, tea, water, and maybe a small snack. Volunteers are able to bake and donate things. We need volunteers to do registrations and setup/teardown. Game setup. Plan to arrive at 8am. Ensure Volunteers watch youth (at least 2). 

Upcoming events and trainings: 

Alyssa presented the idea of the Fair Superintendent meeting in conjunction with our December association meeting. December 11th would be this meeting date.  Sue proposed that we meet at 6:30pm on December 11th, this proposition ran unopposed. 

The meeting was adjourned at 8:13 pm by Sue Adams.
