City Fruit: Summer Pruning & Fruit Tree Care
Summer is the best time to be preparing for the fall harvest. Come to class to learn what you can do to prune your fruit trees for better airflow and for a better harvest this season. After a lecture and demonstration, get some hands-on experience making cuts to gain confidence to tackle the trees in your own backyard.

The basic principles of chip bud grafting are discussed in this two hour course. In addition to practicing the actual technique of budding, we will also discuss knife use, rootstock/scion selection, and aftercare of new grafts.Be prepared to be outside. Registration required, space is limited. Sign up for both the Winter Propagation Class and this class, and pay $50 for both classes.
