Howard & Pearl Burgess 4-H Scholarships

– one each for a boy and a girl. Scholarship may be used at any institution offering post-secondary educations including technical or trade schools.
Who is eligible: High school seniors who are residents of Walla Walla County and who have been active 4-H members for a minimum of three years.
How to apply: Information and application available at the Walla Walla Extension office, 328 West Poplar Street, Walla Walla, WA 99362 or online.
Deadline: *Commonly March 1 – to the Walla Walla County Extension office.

 

Burgess Scholarship

Walla Walla County Cattlemen’s Association Scholarship

The WWCCA Youth Scholarship will provide for tuition assistance at your chosen college.  Scholarship(s) will be awarded solely for proven leadership abilities and academic potential.  Financial need is NOT a requirement.

 

ELIGIBILITY  REQUIREMENTS:

  • Applicants must submit application and transcript from high school or evidence of successful completion of the GED examination.
  • Must be able to demonstrate leadership abilities and have scholastic potential.
  • Must be from a family who is a voting member of Walla Walla County Cattlemen’s Association.
  • Must have two character evaluations by high school counselor, principal, teacher, or former employers.
  • Previous recipients of this scholarship are ineligible for one year.

APPLICATION  PRODEDURES

  • Scholarship application forms may be obtained from the Walla Walla County Extension office, 328 W Poplar, Walla Walla, WA  99362.
  • Applications must be submitted to the Walla Walla County Extension office (Attn:  Cattlemen’s) at 328 W Poplar, Walla Walla, WA  99362.
  • Applications must be submitted by March 31 and include the following:
         Application Form
         Two Completed Reference Forms
         High School or College Transcript
