On April 11, 2019 USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service released the 2017 Agriculture Census. This is the most in-depth assessment performed by USDA and is published every five years.

The below narrated PowerPoint takes a deep dive into this publication and extracts and highlights trends over the last 15-20 years and in some cases as far back as 1950. The goal was to see what has recently changed in farming and farmers and get a sense of where agriculture in Whatcom County might be in the future.
