2021 Berry Food Safety Training

Berry producers, processor, and purchasers can attend a 4-hour food safety training over the course of two days. The entire training will be held online and available to anyone with an internet connection. This training will fulfill your annual feed safety training requirements, but you must attend the entire 4-hours to receive a certificate.

When: February 2 and 3, 2021 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm each day

Recordkeeping for success- make sure you are inspection ready by hearing straight from the WSDA about records that are required for the Produce Safety Rule and what issues they’ve seen through their first couple of years of on-farm inspections with some hands-on exercises.

Cleaning and Sanitation Lessons for Mechanical Harvesters

We will cover pertinent aspects of a robust cleaning and sanitation program. Topics will include principles of hygienic design and how robust sanitation programs can help handle our weak points on mechanical harvesters. Verification procedures so you know your sanitation program is working, and how bad can it get- lessons learned from lax equipment sanitation.
