Doesn’t need disaster declaration

Needs a disaster declaration (has been declared for Benton, Chelan, Cowlitz, Grays Harbor, King, Kittitas, Lewis, Pacific, Pierce, Skagit, Snohomish, Thurston, Yakima, and Whatcom)

  • ELAP- Emergency Assistance for Livestock, Honeybees and Farm-Raised Fish Program – does not need a disaster declaration and doesn’t cover livestock death losses (except for honeybees and farm-raised fish). In the event of a flood, ELAP covers feed losses (purchased and produced on-farm) and lost grazing days.
  • ECP- Emergency Conservation Program – helps rehabilitates farmland/pasture from flood damage, cost share program. Approved ECP applicants can receive up to 75% of the cost of the approved restoration activity with a maximum cost share of $500,000 per natural disaster event.  
    • Approved ECP practices include:
      • Removing debris from farmland
      • Grading, shaping and releveling
      • Replacing or repairing permanent fence
      • Restoring conservation structures
      • Emergency soil erosion measures
  • EM Loan – Emergency Loan Program – Restore physical damage, 30% crop production loss, up to $500,000, can’t get financing from other lending sources.
