The Lew Evans Memorial Trophy was established in 1949 in memory of former the Yakima County Sheriff, Leader and dedicated advocate for Yakima County 4-H. This trophy is awarded annually to a Yakima County 4-H Club that has demonstrated outstanding service to the community or world at large. In selecting the 4-H Club to receive the award, consideration will be given to the: Type of community service activities Percent of member participation Extent of harmony and good will developed Effect the activity had on the club and others involved.
