Deadline for the Washington State 4-H Teen Film Camp
April 14, 2025 All day
We have some great opportunities for youth interested in the creation of anime, short, or feature films. We will be hosting another Teen Film Camp on Whidbey Island from July 15-19th, where participants get immersed in writing, filming, and editing their own films. Our mentors are experienced filmmakers that will be available to answer any questions and guide participants through the creative process. The films made at camp will be shown on the big screen on the last day of camp as a part of the Youth Film Festival on July 19th. See below for more information!
Teen Film Camp is an amazing opportunity for seniors in 4-H to get hands-on experience with creating a short film. Participants will get to learn about a variety of aspects of filmmaking from experienced filmmakers! Senior 4-H Members are invited to apply, but space is limited to 8 teens. Applications are being accepted until April 14th, and those who are selected will be notified by April 31st. Camp Dates are July 15-19, 2025 in Coupeville, Washington. For more information check out the Teen Film Camp website or email R-A Mazzola at r.mazzola@wsu.edu
If you are a filmmaker under the age of 18 and have created an anime, short, or feature film, we invite you to submit your completed project for possible showing at the 2025 Youth Film Festival. Selected filmmakers will be contacted by June 30th if their film has been chosen for the festival. The big event will be held from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm on July 19, 2025, at the Clyde Theater in Langley, Washington.
