Anna Rowe

“As an education consultant, college professor, and SEL geek, I strive to make systems serving kids/teens safer, kinder, healthier & #traumainvested”

For over two decades, Anna has dedicated herself professionally to the improvement of people’s lives. Her experiences encompassing teaching, counseling, casework, and training have profoundly enriched her knowledge base, especially as it Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), complex trauma, attachment theory, and the inner workings of school systems. These experiences have not only expanded her understanding but shaped her dedication to creating a nurturing, healing, and inclusive environment for individuals.”

Early in her teaching career Anna was committed to letting every student know they mattered and were capable of learning. Dedicated to nurturing brighter futures she transitioned to the field of mental health with a Master’s degree in counseling psychology, working with some of the most vulnerable in our society involved with child welfare. In her current role with Washington State University’s Child and Family Research Unit, Anna now provides coaching, professional development, and training services to school staff and districts as well as providing data-driven resources.

When she’s not occupied contemplating how to make the world a better place, she is busy being a mama, wife, and friend.  Anna enjoys communing in the outdoors year-round with her family, loves a good dance party, and destresses by cooking yummy dishes. In the winter she holds to the Norwegian tradition of Koselig.
