A primary focus of CAFRU is evaluation of programs that counter the impact of complex trauma on individuals, families, systems, and communities. CAFRU faculty and staff conduct evaluation to:
- Foster long-term success in early learning and K–12 education, primary health care, and other natural systems,
- Build understanding of the lasting effects of traumatic childhood experiences.
This project focused on the deliverance of the trauma-informed schools’ intervention, Collaborative Learning for Educational Achievement and Resilience (CLEAR), in four demonstration schools distributed between Washington State and Oregon in the service area supported by Kaiser-Permanente Northwest.
