Leslie Camden Goold

Leslie joined the CLEAR Team in 2023 after 22 years as a school social worker in Central Valley School District (CVSD). As a school social worker, she supported students and their families who were experiencing unstable and temporary housing, and homelessness. Through this work she has advocated for change on the community, state, and national levels. Leslie served on the Core Team for the Spokane County Anchor Community Initiative, with the goal to end youth homelessness. She sits on the statewide OSPI McKinney-Vento Advisory Team that works to ensure the educational rights for students experiencing homelessness. She operates from the belief that we should never underestimate the importance of relationship, the magic of respect, and the power of resiliency. Leslie received her Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from Washington State University and later earned a Master of Social Work from Eastern Washington University. Back in 2010, Leslie was a staff member at Broadway Elementary School in CVSD during an early implementation of CLEAR. Being involved in that work shaped, and greatly impacted her school social work practice. Now, she is part of the team and gives that knowledge to others to create healthier communities.
