Military Teen Adventure Camp
2026 Camp Information
Choose your own adventure at WSU’s Military Teen Adventure Camp 2026!
Teens (ages 13-18 at the start of camp) from military affiliated families (with a parent or guardian who has served or is serving in any branch of the US military) are invited to join us in the San Juan Islands of Washington state for an adventure you won’t soon forget! This camp is provided at a very low cost for families thanks to a 4-H Military Partnership.
Families can choose from this summer’s epic adventures:
Session One: July 6-10, Orcas Island at Camp Orkila (capacity 70 campers)
Campers will participate in high adventure activities such as climbing, swimming, kayaking, zip lining, ropes courses, archery and BMX bike riding! Lodging includes open air cabins and yurts. Between adventures campers enjoy family style meals, campfires and other camp traditions.
Session Two: July 12-16, Anacortes/James Island (capacity 20 campers)
Campers will meet at base camp in Anacortes, WA before embarking on an island hop through the open ocean waters and exploring the shorelines of nearby islands. You’ll see abundant wildlife and see the marine ecosystem in action. Campers will camp surrounded by the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. No previous sea kayaking experience is necessary, although this camp option is best suited to teens who can paddle for several consecutive days and are interested in a more primitive camp set up.
Session Three: July 20-24, Orcas Island at Camp Orkila (capacity 30 campers)
Campers will participate in high adventure activities such as climbing, swimming, kayaking, zip lining, ropes courses, archery and BMX bike riding! Lodging includes open air cabins and yurts. Between adventures campers enjoy family style meals, campfires and other camp traditions.
Registration will open April 1st – check here for the link to sign up!
