4-H Dairy Endowment Scholarship

Application Information

The Washington State 4-H Dairy Endowment provides two $500 scholarships. The first is only open to high school seniors. The second is the Scott Hodgson scholarship, which is offered to encourage 4-H members to continue their education beyond high school. It is open to high school seniors and those currently enrolled at a community college or university. Submitting one application allows you to apply for both scholarships if eligible. An applicant cannot receive more than one of these scholarships annually.

Due Date

Applications are due by April 1st of each year.

Eligibility

Current and former Washington State 4-H members are eligible to apply.  Applicants must have accumulated at least 2 years of 4-H affiliation.

Required Parts of Your Application

To apply for the scholarship, you must submit the following documents in addition to the form below.

  1. Cover Letter: address your interest in this opportunity, your future goals and your plan to attain those goals, and how you will contribute to your community and the future of 4-H. Maximum one page.
  2. 4-H Story: introduce yourself and how you got involved with 4-H; highlight your 4-H projects and activities, including learning experiences, interests, and achievements; and describe how your involvement exemplifies each part of the 4-H pledge. Minimum two pages.
  3. Two Letters of Recommendation
  4. High School or College Transcripts
