Save the Date for this year’s Teen Conference

What is Teen Conference?

High-school aged teens (those who have completed 8th grade and up) are encouraged to come to the Pullman Campus of Washington State University in June each year for the Washington State 4-H Teen Conference.

Some highlights include: touring the beautiful Pullman campus of WSU, staying in college dormitories, eating at WSU’s dining center, and attending workshops and tours to highlight career pathways and opportunities. We will include workshops to help youth begin preparing for college applications, scholarship applications, choosing a college major, and choosing a career pathway. We will also have opportunities for leadership development, service projects, team-building activities, and FUN!

Transportation to and from Pullman, WA is not provided. We recommend contacting your county 4-H coordinator to inquire about transportation. All in-conference transportation (for tours & workshops) will be included. Please note that youth and chaperones must remain on campus for the entirety of the conference (they should not be driving around or off campus even if they brought a vehicle to the event).

Payment options include credit card payment and check payment. However, check payment only includes third-party payments (county payments, Juntos or GEAR UP). If you select the check payment option, you MUST then let us know which of these payment sources you will be using. Please contact your county extension office with questions about payment options.

All participants in the conference will stay in Orton Hall dormitory on WSU’s Pullman campus. Youth will stay in double occupancy rooms, and adults will stay in single rooms. Roommates will be pre-assigned, but there is a place in the registration for youth to request a roommate. No changes to roommates will be allowed during the conference. Participants need to bring bedding to this event (pillow, sleeping bag, and/or sheets and blankets) as well as towels and toiletry items.

Food will be served at Southside Dining center for all meals except the banquet. Those with dietary needs should make note of those requirements on their registration.
