The Washington State Sheep Shearing School is sponsored by Washington State University Extension and Washington State Sheep Producers, with assistance from the Columbia Basin Sheep Producers, Washington Wool Growers Auxiliary, and American Sheep Industry.
The shearing school is open to anyone 15 years of age or older. Students will learn the skills of shearing sheep, proper equipment preparation, and maintenance, packaging of wool for optimum market value, and several other topics regarding quality sheep and wool production.
Shearing School Dates: Monday, April 3rd through Friday, April 7th.
