Country Critters & Still Life Society Visit Heaven on Earth

Nine families, representing multiple 4-H projects, recently spent a memorable hour touring the Heaven on Earth Animal Sanctuary on San Juan Island. This peaceful haven is dedicated to giving retired and rescued farmed animals a safe, loving place to call home. The highlight of the trip was a truly hands-on experience, allowing our members to connect and share snacks with the friendly residents, including donkeys, llamas, pigs, geese, and cows. It was a wonderful opportunity to foster empathy and understanding for all creatures, aligning perfectly with the spirit of 4-H!  After the tour some 4-H members took the opportunity to practice their photography skills by taking photos of the animals.
