Entering Exhibits into Fair Entry

Fair Entry Registration will be Open 6/1/25 to 7/15/25

Register in Fair Entry

Registration is open June 1, 2025 to July 15, 2025 – you sign in with your 4-H Online account credentials. If you have difficulties accessing your account, please contact us at sanjuan.4-H@wsu.edu

Before registering at the Fair Entry link, it is helpful if you have your animals entered into 4-H Online. If you have an animal that you will show over several years, including this information will allow the animal info to import into Fair Entry. Add in your animals after they are born or you begin to care for them and this step will make it easy to add for each entry.

4-H members log into FairEntry using their 4H Online login information. If you have forgotten what your login is, please email Clinton Gauthier, 4-H Program Coordinator.

Remember, your entries are saved as you go along; please do not submit your entries until you have selected everything that you plan to bring to the Fair.

4-H Age groups:

Cloverbud: ages 5-7

Junior: ages 8-10

Intermediate: ages 11-13

Senior: ages 14 to 19

Does your child need a Reasonable Accommodation for Fair participation? Please go to the WSU Webpage to download the form and return to us at sanjuan.4-H@wsu.edu by July 30th:

When you take ownership of animal, please add animals into 4-H Online – these animals will then export into Fair Entry when you register for Fair.

Please pay attention to those animals that you own for multiple years  – they can be reactivated in your profile. Market animals generally are only listed for one year.

Step 1 – Register animal in 4-H Online with details about name, tattoos, tags, type/breed. You will do this when you purchase animal or it is born. Some animals will be market animals and only added for one year; others may show same animal for many years.

Step 2 – Sign into Fair Entry under child’s name and add entries using the drop-down menus.  When you have the chance to “add animal” click on that button.

You then have the option to add animal from 4-H Online, or register a new animal in Fair Entry.  Then click on the appropriate name/tag or tattoo for that entry.

Adding the animal is not adding classes/lots to your Fair Entry invoice. You will need to add the following classes if showing animals:

  1. Herdsmanship – This is housed in each animal department this year, with the exception of the horse department, it will be Class B. You must register for Herdsmanship for each animal you are entering. There is also Exhibitorship for still life entries. This will be an individual competition this year unlike the barn vs barn competition of the past.
  2. Judging – this is not in the animal sections of Fair Entry. You will need to add each judging competition you will be competing in from Department 28.
  3. Showmanship – click on your animal department, choose Showmanship – click on appropriate 4-H age department for youth. .
  4. Animal/Type and Breed – Each animal you are bringing needs to be entered into the appropriate Class, usually this is by breed but there are some Classes for cross/mixed breeds, animal type, etc. For your market animal, you just need to enter it into the market Class. You can use the same feature listed above to import that information about your animal from 4-H Online.  If you have multiple animals you are bringing to be judged, you will do this for each animal.

For each Animal Department you are entering into you should be entered into:

  • Class A (or AA in some cases) (Showmanship)
  • Class B (Herdsmanship)
  • All type classes for the animals you are bringing
  • Department 28 (Judging) for each judging contest you will be competing in

Some departments have other competitions such as cage decorating, performance, etc.
