2026 Fair Prep Day

The votes are in, and we have officially locked in Monday, July 6th from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
As a reminder, we will be meeting at the Marie Boe Building at the SJI Fairgrounds. True to our word for our interisland families, this window is built around the ferry schedule—so please feel free to drop in and head out whenever works best for your travel or afternoon routine. You do not need to stay the whole time!
Quick Reminder: What We’re Doing & Why It Matters
- Register Before You Finish: Official fair registration closes on Sunday, July 19. You don’t need your projects completed by then, just an idea of what you want to bring so space can be saved. Please over register- anything and everything you THINK you might bring can be registered. We will help you map this all out!
- Hands-on Help: Bring your printed photography—we will have materials on hand to help you matte your images. We will also have supplies for posters, scarecrows, and more. If you have supplies for scarecrows, please bring them! This is a new group entry project this year!
- Food is Provided: No need to scramble for afternoon snacks or an early dinner; we’ve got you covered.
New families: If the fair process feels a bit overwhelming, this is the perfect, low-pressure space to get your questions answered step-by-step.
We can’t wait to hang out, eat some good food, and see all the incredible creativity our youth are bringing to the 2026 County Fair. See you on the 6th!
