BEGINNING QUILT CAMP
SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE
Join us for a hands-on quilting class in which youth will make a pillowcase and lap-sized quilt to take home. Youth may bring their own sewing machine or use a provided one. Participants and parents must attend the orientation session at the WSU Extension Office on June 10th to learn about fabrics, notions, and sewing machine requirements. Batting will be provided. A field trip to a fabric store will follow the meeting. Participants must provide their own transportation.
Who can Participate: Youth 6th-12th grade (must have completed 4th grade)
For youth who have completed 4th-12th Grade
Class Requirements:
Participants are required to commit to attend all 5 days of the program. Youth must have completed 4th grade. No prior sewing skills are needed. Youth must provide their own fabric and sewing supplies.
Youth should bring a snack or sack lunch to sewing sessions. We strongly suggest that a helper attend each day with participant.
Registration:
Class sizes are limited to 10 registrants. Registration forms along with a fee of $40 cash or check are required to complete enrollment. Checks can be made out to “4-H Leaders Council”. Late registrations will have an additional fee, if space is available. Registration fees are nonrefundable.
