WSU Consumer Food Safety
Washington State University Whitman County Extension connects the people of Whitman County to the research and knowledge bases of the state’s land-grant research university, providing solutions to local problems and stimulating local economies. Our county-based educators work with partners in your communities to offer educational programs that leverage the broad resources of a major university to create a positive future for the residents of Whitman County.
Our local programs include agriculture and natural resources, 4-H youth, gardening and community horticulture, and food safety and preservation. In addition, Washington State University provides a broad range of consumer publications, online educational opportunities, and other statewide educational programs and technical assistance from four research and extension centers and 11 colleges.
