Canning on a Saturday afternoon with the WSU Extension; salsa and apple pie filling

Gina Orb, agent with the WSU extension office will be in the La Maison kitchen teaching you how to properly can salsa from the valley’s fresh bounty. It’s perfect to grab a jar of canned salsa when friends show up unexpectedly or for your next bbq. She will also teach a fabulous apple pie filling. I love having canned pie fillings ready in the pantry for when we get an apple pie craving or to impress guests! The class starts at 1:00pm and will last approximately 3.5 to 4 hours. You will get to take home recipes, Extension fact sheets, and best of all ….some of the canned goodies, in addition to sampling them in class! All supplies will be provided. Merely bring yourself and a friend………or three!
