4-H Club Officer Duties & Resource Packets
Financial Record Keeping
Management of 4-H funds is an important task for 4-H Clubs, below are several resources to maintain Club financial records.
- Treasurer Book (pdf)
- Treasurer’s Handbook and Leader Facilitation Guide (pdf)
- 4-H Fundraising & Request to Fundraise (pdf)
A note about finances…
Clubs are able to maintain funds, but these funds are to be used equally by all current members. It is important to make a plan, create a budget, and fundraise only until the goal is met. Clubs should not fundraise to purchase project animals or animal feed (those expenses are the responsibility of the individual member). It is appropriate to raise money for educational opportunities, enrollment fees, club activities, and club t-shirts.
