Biography
Bryan serves as a statewide Public Health Nutrition Specialist and Assistant Professor with the Extension Youth and Families Program Unit in the College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences (CAHNRS) at Washington State University Extension.
Blending his expertise as a public health practitioner with Extension’s community-based mission, he focuses on delivering actionable, evidence-based information to individuals and families. His work emphasizes engaging communities and equipping them to be active participants and informed decision-makers in their own health and well-being.
As a statewide specialist, Bryan’s work bridges health extension, public health promotion, and public health nutrition and food systems. He is committed to advancing health literacy and integrating artificial intelligence into public health practice to modernize community-based interventions.
Grounded in community-centered public health principles, he champions health equity and rural health, working to empower communities so that every individual has the opportunity to thrive.
