ServSafe Manager Certification Training
ServSafe is a nationally recognized food safety training and certification program for anyone involved in the food service industry. The training is for food service managers who have responsibility for teaching, learning or implementing food preparation and food safety practices in their food business. It is the highest standard in food safety training and certification.
Food Code – WAC 246-215-2107- requires food establishments to have at least one Certified Food Protection Manager on staff with a valid certificate. This ServSafe training and a passing test score fulfills the requirement for the Certified Food Protection Manager training. Successful completion of the course includes a ServSafe certificate for five years. If you renew your Food Workers card within two years, it will also be extended for five years.
If you have questions about the Certified Food Protection Manager requirements for your business, please contact your local Health Department.
