The Foundation supports the program efforts of the Master Gardener program. Since the program is not funded by Washington State University or by Grant or Adams Counties, the foundation provides the only funds for keeping the program functional. It provides financial support for many of the activities performed by Master Gardeners including educational materials, plant clinic handouts, the quarterly newsletter printing, awards, and support for the annual symposium to name a few. Participation is voluntary and Master Gardeners and the public are encouraged to become members.

Foundation Mission Statement
The mission of the foundation is to enhance and supplement the efforts of the WSU Master Gardener program by providing financial support, communication, and education that improve horticultural practices and otherwise benefit the citizens of Grant-Adams Counties.
Application for Foundation Membership
I wish to join the Master Gardener Foundation of Grant-Adams Counties. I understand my duties as a member of the Master Gardener Foundation are separate from my obligation to the WSU Extension Master Gardener Program in my county and that membership in the Master Gardener Foundation is not required for my participation as a local Master Gardener Volunteer. Foundation members will be expected to support the mission of the Foundation and follow its by-laws. Note: No dues are required for active WSU Grant-Adams Master Gardeners to join the foundation.
