“Aquaponics: History, Approaches and Current Relevance“ ~ Master Gardener Presentation Series

Aquaponics — a farming system that combines fish raising and hydroponics — has been used in a variety of ways dating back to ancient civilizations. Lee Bebout, a Master Gardener with a doctorate in microbial ecology and a 20-plus-year background at NASA studying microbes, will share the basic “how to” components of aquaponics system, benefits and cost considerations as well as the broad diversity in approaches.
