If you have any questions – contact Shelley Friend or Mike Seiber
Animal Certification Reminder
As you enroll in 4honline, don’t forget to re-certify all animals in 4HOnline. Market animals used again must be reentered each year. List all the animals you are planning to take to the fair now – so you’re ready for FairEntry next summer! Dog members need to check the fine print on Fields to see where to enter their dog’s breed.
Request to Use Buildings at Frontier Park
The Pierce County Fairgrounds at Frontier Park has buildings available for 4-H clubs and projects to use free of charge. The buildings must be reserved at least one week in advance by filling out the online Frontier Park Building Reservation form and submitting it. The buildings are only available during regular park hours. Schedule your meeting so you have time to clean up and pack so members and leaders can leave the park before the park closes.
Super Saturday

The tentative date for the 2027 Pierce County 4-H Super Saturday is January 30, 2027. If you or someone you know would like to share your knowledge and skills, become an instructor. Instructors can be leaders, parents, outside experts, or senior youth leaders. To lead a workshop at Super Saturday, fill out the Call for Workshop Proposal form. Each instructor is limited to three topics.
Service Projects available for youth or volunteers (4-H Office)
Youth members needing service hours or adults and youth just wanting to volunteer are encouraged to contact the 4-H Office. Tasks involve inventory of STEM kits, light office work, scanning, and sorting supplies for learning kits. Contact Mike Seiber if interested.
4-H County Meetings Open to All
There are several 4-H meetings happening regularly throughout the program year. All meetings are open to all youth members, leaders, and parents. Let your voice be heard and find out what is going on in our county by attending any or all the meetings for the county and your project.

Other volunteers serve as standing committee members and members at large. They meet on the third Thursday of most months at the 4-H Office at 7:00 pm and a Zoom option is available on request. The Executive Committee is responsible for running the Leaders Council between the two meetings. They also plan several county programs such as Teen Rally and Super Saturday. The committee raises funds and distributes grants and scholarships. They are currently looking for new volunteers to join the Executive Committee to serve as representatives for the Cat and Still Life Arts/Photography projects as well as Recognition and Education Committees.
Dog Project Leaders Meeting – The leaders of all the 4-H Dog Clubs meet once a month generally on the first Monday of the month at the 4-H Office at 7:00 pm. The Dog Leaders run several activities throughout the year and are responsible for two Qualifying Shows and their part of the Pierce County Fair. For most votes, each club has two votes from adult volunteers and one vote from a youth leader.
Pierce County 4-H Horse Project Board – The Horse Board is the administrative group for the Pierce County 4-H Horse Project. They meet in person the Wednesday prior to the Horse Project Members and Leaders Meetings and the months between by zoom for update meetings. Their role is to fine tune the program throughout the year and manage the finances of the Horse Project.
