Medical Debt and Charity Care: Income-Eligible Programs for Emergency Medical Care Expenses

Washington State AgrAbility Project, part of WSU Skagit Extension, is pleased to announce a series of webinars focused on the resources and services available if you’ve experienced a farm injury or otherwise acquired a disability.

When: Fridays at 1 pm PST – March 2022

March 4 – AgrAbility: What is it? What does it do and can it help me?
AgrAbility is a grant funded program available to farmers, farm workers, and ranchers that are battling any sort of limitation. Learn more about it at this kick-off webinar.

March 11 – Assistive Technology: What’s available, How to choose it, How to fund it
Assistive technology (AT) is defined as any item, piece of equipment, or product system, whether acquired commercially, modified, or customized, that is used to increase, maintain, or improve functional capabilities of individuals with disabilities. There are many resources for identifying, locating, obtaining, and fabricating AT – on this webinar, we’ll share what’s available.

March 18 – Medical Debt and Charity Care: Income-Eligible Programs for Emergency Medical Care Expenses
Charity Care provides for free and discounted inpatient and outpatient care in Washington State’s hospitals. It’s available for outstanding bills and even bills already paid can be refunded if you qualify for the program. Learn about how to apply here.

March 25 – Applying for Social Security Disability Benefits
If you’ve had an injury that stops you from working, you may be entitled to disability benefits through Social Security. We’ll take you through the eligibility and application process step-by-step.

There will be a Q&A period following each presentation.
