We had all hands on deck for our Pizza 4 Producers event. This P4P was in conjunction with the Skagit Ag Summit, which is an annual gathering hosted by WSU Skagit County Extension that brings together farmers, agricultural professionals, and community partners from across the region. The event focuses on the key issues shaping the future of Skagit agriculture, such as farm succession, land use, water, innovation, and long-term farm viability. Through panels, workshops, and facilitated discussions, the summit provides a space for producers to share experiences, access resources, and explore strategies for sustaining agriculture in the Skagit Valley. It serves as both a networking hub and a forward-looking forum dedicated to strengthening the region’s agricultural community.

The event had approximately 150 attendees. We prepared about 50 pounds of pizza dough, 10 pounds of cheese, 5 pounds of pepperoni, and a generous amount of pizza sauce. We genuinely could not have accomplished this without the support of our partners throughout the day. Everyone left with full stomachs and smiles on their faces.
