Firearms Safety Training

United General District 304 is pleased to offer this online FIREARMS SAFETY TRAINING open to anyone in Whatcom, Skagit, Island, San Juan, and Snohomish County, at no cost to participants.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, historic numbers of people have purchased firearms, with record numbers of first-time buyers and inexperienced firearms owners. In response, Safer Homes, Suicide Aware, co-lead by the Second Amendment Foundation, has launched a firearms safety webinar focused on the training needs of anyone new to firearms ownership. United General District 304 and NAMI of Skagit County are pleased to offer this online FIREARMS SAFETY TRAINING – THURSDAY, OCT. 21st | 6:00 – 8:00 PM for anyone in Whatcom, Skagit, Island, San Juan, and Snohomish County.

This course is a modern overview of firearms safety, including firearms suicide – the leading type of firearm fatality. The presenters, Brett Bass and Zach North, are trained firearms instructors and have backgrounds in both the armed forces of the United States and private-sector marksmanship training.

This course meets all requirements set forth for compliance with Initiative 1639 and a certificate of completion can be provided upon request.

This webinar is open to all, and is especially important for new or inexperienced firearms owners, those who are returning to firearms ownership after a long absence, or anyone else who wishes to attend a refresher course.
