Join us for the WSU Livestock Advisor Training, designed for livestock owners, small farmers, homesteaders, and anyone interested in improving their livestock management skills.
Classes begin September 22, 2026, and run for 8 weeks.
Class Time: 6:00–9:00 p.m.
During this comprehensive training, participants will learn practical, research-based information that can be put to work on their farms and homesteads.

- Sheep
- Goats
- Swine
- Poultry
- Rabbits
- Livestock Nutrition and Feeding
- Animal Health and Care
- Fencing
- Pasture Management to Maximize Production
- Rotational Grazing
- Mud and Manure Management
- Best Management Practices for Small Farms
Participants will also have opportunities to connect with experienced livestock producers, agricultural professionals, and other people interested in raising livestock successfully.
Become a WSU Livestock Advisor
After completing the training, participants can put their new knowledge to work by providing 20 hours of volunteer service supporting livestock education and outreach in their communities over the next 2 years.
