Volunteers may win each award only once, and can only receive one award per year. If a volunteer is nominated for more than one award in a year, the County Award Committee will choose which award will be awarded that year. Volunteers may not nominate themselves.
You will be notified if your nominee is selected to receive this award. It will be your responsibility to make sure the volunteer you have nominated is at the County Awards Ceremony to receive the award.
Due Date
Nominations are due to the 4-H office by July 1st each year. Submit by e-mail to snoco.4h@wsu.edu or mail/deliver to:

Volunteer Recognition Awards
Specify which award you are nominating the volunteer for:
Outstanding Volunteer Patch
Nomination is made by a member, parent or another volunteer
Requirements: 5+ years of history as an enrolled 4-H volunteer, and county-level involvement.
Impact Award
Nomination is made by member or parent (limited to 5 recipients per year)
Requirements: Volunteer has had a positive impact on an individual, club or program.
Clover Award
Nomination is made by another volunteer (limited to 5 recipients per year)
Requirements: Volunteer has had a positive impact on 4-H in general.
What to include in your nomination:
- Your name, phone number, e-mail, and mailing address
- Your role in 4-H (youth member, parent, volunteer)
- Nominee’s name, club/program, and number of years as a volunteer
- Which award you are nominating them for
- Briefly list the nominee’s involvement with each level of 4-H, to the best of your knowledge:
- Project level, responsibilities, # of years
- Committee level, responsibilities, # of years
- Club involvement, responsibilities, # of years
- County, state, or national involvement, responsibilities, # of years
- In essay form, please describe why you think your nominee deserves this award. Be sure to include specific information about how this person has had a positive impact on you, your club or project, or 4-H in general. Limit response to two typed pages (12 pt. font).
