The Art of Pruning

Good pruning is one of the keys to a happy and healthy plant. The last in this year’s Master Gardening series at the Hoquiam Timberland Library will be presented Saturday, June 17th from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. Come learn the secrets of proper pruning. WSU Master Gardeners Garnet Kuronen and Jude Armstrong will begin the class with a discussion of basic pruning skills and techniques. This will be followed by a demonstration and practice for attendees, using the plants outside in the library’s landscaping. No equipment, tools, fee or pre-registration is required. Just come to the library, located at 420 7th Street in Hoquiam. Be prepared to improve your gardening skills.
