Beginning Bee Classes #2 & 3
February 24, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
East Jefferson Beekeepers Association
Welcome
Welcome to the EJBees website.
Learning about bees and beekeeping has become quite popular the last five years. Some of us want to help out with the tough times bees are going through lately. Some of us are interested in getting back to the land. Some of us just think it is fun to have some honeybees in your back yard. But no matter what the motivation, beekeeping is a totally fascinating adventure.
If you are interested in becoming a beekeeper in our area (Northeast Olympic Peninsula, Washington), come check us out. We are the place to get:
- Beginning Level bee classes. We have lots of people taking these every year. These classes start right at the beginning – no prerequsite knowledge is required.
- Intermediate Level (Journeyman) bee courses.
- Hands-on workshops.
- Field-trips to nearby apiaries.
- Contacts for getting bees and hives locally.
- Lots of advice.
- Nice, knowledgeable people who will help you get started.
- Lots of expertise to help you with problem diagnosis.
- Nice bee-people to hang out with. (Though frankly, one or two of us might be a bit strange.)
We have all levels of expertise: folks who have kept bees for decades; folks who are keeping bees for the very first time; and every level of knowledge in-between. So you will fit right in.
