Cooperative Business Ecosystems
October 30, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
How can communities develop a business ecosystem that fosters worker-owned and affordable housing cooperatives to increase community wealth? Find out from a panel of cooperative business activists featuring Diane Gasaway, executive director of the Northwest Cooperative Development Center (NWCDC) in Olympia, on Monday, October 30, at Quimper Grange.
Additional panelists are Kippi Waters, administrator of the two-year-old Peninsula Homecare Cooperative in Port Townsend; and Marcia Adams, Kingston, of Twisted Strait Fibers, a group seeking to establish a cooperatively owned fiber processing mill on the Olympic Peninsula.
Panelists will provide inspiration for starting new cooperatives, as well as revealing the help that NWCDC can provide to cooperative start-ups. The program is set for Monday, October 30, 7-8:30PM at Quimper Grange, 1219 Corona Street, PT in honor of National Cooperative Month. The suggested donation for this Grange-sponsored event is $5-10.
