Winter Gardening Class – Turn Your Winter Blues Into Winter Greens!

August 10, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Turn your winter blues into winter greens! Spend your morning at Oatsplanter Farm learning skills for extending your garden harvest into the winter and early spring.

Abundant winter gardens begin in the late summer! This introduction to the art and skills of extending your garden harvest into the winter and early spring will show you how easy it is.  Experienced gardener and farmer Jadyne Reichner will give a tour of the gardens at Oatsplanter Farm and share her techniques for  bed preparation, seed selection, planting, tending, harvesting, and storage.   Participants will work together to plant a small winter garden at the farm and leave with a “Winter Garden Kit” containing seeds and a condensed planting guide so you can “grow your own when you get home”.

Instructed by Jadyne Reichner and sponsored by Cedar Root Folk School. For info and registration, visit www.cedarrootschool.org – $45 tuition.
