Entering Your Project in the Fair

Cloverbud Classes (PDF)

What Cloverbuds Can Do

Participate in non-competitive classes and activities
Exhibit projects, receive a Cloverbud ribbon, and judge comments
Show animals only in Cloverbud-designated lots
Participate for learning and fun (no premiums, no State Fair qualification)

Fair Timeline

Spring	Youth work on Still life projects, Educational posters and displays
May 1	Fair Entry Registration opening, deadline to be registered for 4-H to participate in fair, barn schedules due to fair
May TBD	Horse Certificates due
May 30	Still Life Judges training in Puyallup
June 1	All entries due in Fair Entry
June 1	Posters/Educational Displays due – drop off at KCE office between 10:00AM – 4:00PM
June TBD	Critter Crowning applications due
June 30	Superintendents meeting 6pm Les Schwab Hall at expo center
July 11	Still Life & Photos Due to Activity Hall (at EXPO Center) 11:00AM-3:30PM
July 12	4-H Ticket pre-orders due
July 14	Vet check and horse load in (time TBD)
July 15	Vet check and load in for all animals except dogs and cats (Time TBD)
July 16	Cats and dogs load in
July 16-19	King County Fair
July 19	Exhibit releases 6:30 pm or when barns/stables are clean and you are dismissed by Superintendents. Activity Hall – release time after 6:30 pm Sunday, July 19th

Educational Posters and Displays

Poster tips: Posters may be educational based on your club project or another 4-H project (you can submit up to 4 entries from different categories) or posters may be promotional, highlighting your favorite aspect of 4-H or what you think 4-H has to offer.
